Another f...ing war. As long as some people make money selling stuff and services during wars, it will never end. It is like beer and baseball or football or any other stupid event where people need to get drunk to enjoy it.
Apparently the site of predilection to bomb in the last few decades is the middle east. America was asked in the 90's to protect Kuwait from Hussein's Iraq, that was fine. We went in and out. Made Hussein to retrieve and secure the oil, as protecting the cow that our little kids need to milk to survive. That is also fine with me. The black gold. We need it, so we take it.
But some genius in one of these companies, let's say Halliburton, had the great idea to design war plans with certain characteristics.
First - As far as possible from America because.....
a) Out of sight out of mind. The American people do not engage in international news, it is hard to follow something that you do not relate to it. and b) The farthest the better. Less control and transportation high costs might be justified.
Second - a) Let's bomb a group that we "all" seem to hate, because they hate us, first. b) Societies who doesn't share our "American way of Life", Those where women are treated as second class citizens, where they cannot drive or go shopping.
Third - Let's sell this idea that we do wars out there so we have not to fight right here, but the truth is that we have become a society of suspects, where the government listen to phone conversations without the slight reason, where we are all suspicious if you travel overseas or family come to visit you from a black listed country.
There was a student from Afghanistan that had a GPS installed on his car for months, reporting every move he did and every place he visited, just because he would call his parents in Kabul, the paranoia is out of control and taxpayers pick up the tab.
So, yeah, let's go into another fu..ing war, as I said, but let's be honest about it. It is a business. It is a good, profitable business. It is food stamps for the arms dealers, just take a look to The 10 largest arms producing and military services.
We need leaders that are not afraid to talk about peace, to talk about alternative ways for conflict resolution. We do not take seriously enough people like Dennis Kucinich because maybe we feel comfortable with the bad and not so much with the different. Take a moment and read what Kucinich has to say, and then think about it . Isis, Libya, NATO and preventing the next 9/11
